LILIEMA - Language-independent literacies for inclusive education in multilingual areas

LILIEMA is a language independent literacy programme currently running in Senegal. Its aim is to pass on an all-inclusive literacy approach that is applicable in all linguistic situations: from rather monolingual discourses to highly fluid languaging contexts, for a mixture of all kinds of languages, including large, standardised to non-standardised languages with only a very small number of speakers. LILIEMA independent literacy is not bound to one language, it enables all languages to be written in a way they are used in natural conversations.
