Response of near-Earth Space to changing SolAr wind Conditions

Project: University core funding

Project Details

Description (abstract)

This project aims at understanding how fluctuations in the solar wind parameters can transmit into and affect near-Earth space. This will be achieved
using global kinetic simulations performed with the state-of-the-art Vlasiator model. The first milestone in this project is to implement time-varying input parameters to the model, which will then enable studies of wave transmission.
