Description (abstract)

Based on open and nationwide database information, our aim is to investigate the numbers and variation of patient consultations in the Finnish primary care. We aim to compare these observations with open resource weather data and to analyse seasonal burden variation and relevant association between SRDs and weather parameters.

The main questions we aim to investigate are:

1. What is the current spectrum and burden SRDs in Finnish primary care? Do specific skin-related diseases show significant seasonal variations or other links to meteorological parameters?
2. Are there weather factors that are linked to burden changes, such as temperature, UV-radiation, or air pollution?
3. Is it possible to predict seasonal burden increase and react to it regarding resources, awareness, and socioeconomic factors?
4. Can we enhance learning outcomes in medical education by planning educational curricula based on real life burden and incidence of primary care doctors?
