We'reinvestigating the coevolution of the symbiotic microbe Epichloe festucae withits host Festuca rubra. Festuca species are crucial in grasslands, and Epichloërelies on these hosts, providing conditional benefits. Our research, incollaboration with the Institute of Biotechnology at the University of Helsinki and University of Turku, involves population genetics and Illumina sequencing methods.
