Description (abstract)
The activity, interaction and welfare of rural people and communities have been specified as the field of teaching and research of the professor of sociological rural research.
In addition to the instruction of theses in the field, the duty of the professor is to give teaching in the Rural Studies –network on the courses that the Department of Social Psychology is in charge of, in the Finnish graduate school of the Alexander Institute and the Finnish Master’s Programme in Russian and East European Studies.
The task of the professor is to do and promote comparative social rural research on fields accordant with the research programme of Ruralia Institute and in Russia and Eastern Europe.
The post is placed in the Department of Social Psychology. The posts are the Mikkeli unit of Ruralia Institute and the Department of Social Psychology of the University of Helsinki.
