Trans­form­a­tion of Aca­demic Work and Di­git­iz­a­tion

The project aims at understanding the practicalities behind digitalization in the field of higher education from the perspective of work research. Academic work as an illustration of knowledge work is undergoing major changes. Academics are under pressure to combine multiple roles and tasks: teaching, research, and science communication and societal impact. What is the role of digitalization in these processes, if there is any? We want to look at how these changes are actually happening in practice, in real work of academic workers, teachers and researchers.
