Project Details

Description (abstract)

Digitisation is changing society. ICTs strongly impact children's and adolescents' wellbeing. In order to benefit from these, new skill sets are required. Youth Skills (ySKILLS) aims to enhance and maximise long-term positive impact of the digital environment.

ySKILLS is a multinational and longitudinal research project funded by the EU (2020-2023), which aims to monitor the growth and development of pupils during their elementary and secondary studies. Data is collected with interviews, surveys, the Experience Sampling Method (ESM) and brain imaging (fMRI). The focus is on how the use of digital technology in connection with other background factors influence young people’s learning, physical and psychological well-being, and social relationships.
