    Abstract

    The article deals with the use of the theory of functional syntax, developed by Arto Mustajoki, in methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language. This paper reviews the linguistic conceptions that are close to this theory, and key concepts that are relevant in this context. To confirm the effectiveness of the theory of functional syntax, the system of exercises was created on its basis.
