Coming to terms with psychohistory

    Abstract

    The article presents the author’s academic connections and positions as well as how he became involved with psychohistory, combining his psychological training with his literary and historical studies. The participation in the Conventions of the International Psychohistorical Association (IPA), as well as his psychohistorical publications and experiences of the American scene, are also elucidated. He reflects on some possibilities and obstacles of cooperation between American and European psychohistory.
