Abstract
We present results from the field measurements gathered from Lake Keurusselkä and Lake Petäjävesi in February 2014. This research was part of the large EU-funded LIFE12-project NSINK, which aims to develop and demonstrate a cost-efficient method for wastewater nitrogen removal. The aim of the present work was to examine the stratification and circulation of lake water, as well as mixing of wastewater and recipient lake water in demonstration sites. The data includes hydrographic soundings with CTD-90M (Sea & Sun Technology GmbH) for the fundamental physical and chemical properties of the water body, and monitoring results from the wastewater treatment plants.
