Abstract

The paper discusses to what extent the traditionally abstract definition of the private law subject could be moved towards recognising person-related features such as the financial situation of a party. The theme is analysed in the light of contemporary discussions on increasing orientation of law towards real life, the new opportunities of personalisation of law and the fundamental right of equality.
