Abstract

The immune system can be intelligently programmed to fight cancer. In article number 1703303 by Mohammad-Ali Shahbazi, Bruno Sarmento, Hélder A. Santos, and co-workers, spermine-modified acetalated dextran nanoparticles are co-loaded with a MDM-2 inhibitor and a cytokine for chemo-immunotherapy. Immune cell recruitment to the cancer cells and its activation synergize the anticancer impact of the drug molecules.
