    Abstract

Finnish-Russian and Russian-Finnish dictionary and phrasebook IMU helps Russian and Finnish tourists and service providers communicate in everyday and emergency situations. IMU has been published as an Internet portal and a mobile application for Android/iOS.

IMU dictionary and phrasebook contains about 9 000 most important and frequent words and word combinations and about 4 000 phrases on topics that are vital to any tourist, such as accommodation, eating out, transportation, shopping, and emergency situations.

The phrasebook can be browsed by section or searched by keywords. If a Russian word, word combination, or phrase can not be found in the Russian-Finnish dictionary and phrasebook, it will be automatically translated into English by the PROMT machine translation application. The dictionary can also be queried over the phone with the help of an automatic Call-center.
