Abstract
The small essay, which is written in honour of the 90. Anniversary of the Austrian poet Frederike Mayröcker, introduces the ethos of her lyrics as having explicit connections with the philosophical ideas of Jacques Derrida and the surrealism of André Breton. The essay also serves as an introduction to the seven translated poems of Mayröcker published in the same issue of Nuori Voima
