Abstract
This book depicts a narrative of urban settlement that is situated at the fringes of Kolkata city, India. The villagers of and around Indian Sundarbans who have continually been evicted as consequences of environmental disasters would take shelter in this urban settlement. Using ethnographic methods, it explores how these people would struggle to find their livelihoods.
