Abstract

Title compds. I [Q = heteroaryl; R1 = H, CN, NH2, COH, etc.; R2 = SO3H, PO3H, CH2COOH, CF3, etc.], and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, are prepd. and disclosed as antibacterial agents. Thus, e.g., II was prepd. by a multistep procedure (prepn. given). I were evaluated for biol. activity against E. coli NCTC 133351, e.g., II demonstrated 0.5 comparative activity of Ceftazidime (expressed as MIC in mcg/mL). [on SciFinder(R)]
