Intensive hands-on training course Advanced Methods in GIS course given at the Taita Taveta University (TTU), Kenya. This course was organized by University of Helsinki, Department of Geosciences and Geography and it is part of the TAITAGIS project capacity building activities. The programme is funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and administered by the Finnish National Agency for Education through The Higher Education Institutions Institutional Cooperation Instrument (HEI ICI) that supports cooperation projects between higher education institutions in Finland and the developing world. TAITAGIS project aims to develop Master’s degree programme and Certificate programme in Geoinformatics at the Taita Taveta University (TTU) in Kenya.
