I was part of the organizing team for an international workshop on Ethnonationalism in Europe. The workshop invited a group of international scholars to contemplate how ethnonationalism manifests itself both locally and globally. The topics covered during the workshop included, among others, the history and rights of the local Sámi community, the diverse ethnopolitical tensions experienced in Spain, the status of indigenous people in South America, and manifestations of populism globally.
