Presentation at the "Vesiluontoa pintaa syvemmältä" water-themed LUMO seminar. Presented research on the historical transformation of Helsinki’s small water systems. This study employs environmental history to track ecological changes in urban streams and ponds. By correlating historical land-use data with current conditions, the research provides a factual framework for the restoration and preservation strategies within the City of Helsinki’s LUMO initiatives.
