Kuvaus
The invited (webinar) presentation considers efficiency differences of municipalities in basic service provision and what explains these differences. Also, the role of municipal management is considered. Whether the open labor market of city (municipal) managers (CM) promotes efficiency so that CMs who have led high efficiency municipalities get promoted to new CM jobs in better paying and typically bigger (by population) municipalities.
