The NOVA course "Biological control and the role of plant biomes in plant health" was arranged remotely and Älvkarleö.
The course consisted reading of relevant literature and discussions during ten weekly Journal Club sessions before the onsite course. Different aspects of biological control and plant biome were covered, including definitions, concepts and theories. Especially the course focused on the underlying mechanisms of biocontrol, effect of whole microbiome in the biocontrol, and possibilities and challenges. On-site course consisted of discussions lectured, scientific presentations and work-shops.
