Kuvaus
This seminar series is organized by the Helsinki-based REBOUND research team, led by Dorothée Cambou at the University of Helsinki, and forms part of the broader ‘REBOUND’ research consortium (Reconceptualizing Boundaries Together Towards Resilient and Just Arctic Future(s)). Each seminar hosts a different researcher from the team, each exploring a specific community in the Finnish Arctic disproportionately impacted by legal, political, and business frameworks shaping the green transition. Using a socio-legal approach, the team investigates the effects of forestry, mining, and renewable energy projects on the rights of marginalized, misrecognized, or unrecognized communities. The particular focus is on non-human animals, migrant workers, the indigenous Sámi, and human–landscape relations. We also feature external speakers in the seminars.During Spring-Autumn 2026, the REBOUND Seminar Series hosts 5 speakers:
