Dayei Oh is a postdoctoral researcher at the Datafication unit at the Helsinki Institute for Social Sciences and Humanities. Dayei holds a BA (First class) in Psychology (Ewha, South Korea), an MA (Distinction) in Media & Communications (Nottingham, UK), and a PhD in Social Sciences (Loughborough, UK). Her research interests seek to investigate the intersections of democracy, religion, and abortion in (online) public spheres. In the Datafication unit, she seeks to analyse the history and operation of epistemic communities and epistemic contestations in a digital age. She is interested in interdisciplinary and mixed methods research, including rhetorical/discursive approaches to social psychology, qualitative comparative analysis, and computational social sciences.
