Tutkimuskohteet

I am a doctoral researcher with a strong interest in understanding how social systems renew themselves through complexity theoretical perspectives. In my doctoral dissertation, I am studying teachers’ transformative agency within complex educational systems. My qualitative research focuses on the collective, dynamic, and nonlinear nature of educational change, exploring how agency and their systemic environment are profoundly intertwined. I examine educational development through the lens of complex adaptive systems framework, analyzing how teachers initiate, drive, and manage complex change processes in collaboration with others. My research is conducted in collaboration with the Finnish nationwide Innokas network and its training activities, with the aim of supporting schools and educators with transformative processes at the practical level.
