I am a clinical psychologist and a principle researcher in the ongoing research project: “Preschoolers in Nature”. My current research interests concern the impacts of environmental conditions and nature-assisted interventions on the development and maintenance of physical and psychological well-being and health. I also study the underlying mechanisms in nature connectedness.

In my PhD theses (2016), I studied whether stress related factor associate with cellular aging, measured by leukocyte telomere length (LTL), and thus, if LTL could function as a novel mechanism linking stress to aging related diseases and mortality. This multidisciplinary research was conducted in Developmental Psychology Research Group in collaboration with The National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
