Tutkimuksen ja opetuksen kuvaus

Unitutkimus, erityisesti väsymys, narkolepsia, uniapnea, unettomuus ja levottomat jalat oireyhtymä. Kronisen väsymysoireyhtymän (ME/CFS) tutkimus, jossa pääpaino autonomisen hermoston toimintahäiriöiden (dysautonomia) osuus ME/CFS:n oirekuvana ja myös patofysiologiassa.

Menetelminä unitutkimukset ja käytössämme on moderni unitutkimuslaboratorio. Aineistoa kertätään myoös kyselymenetelmin. Kliininen potilastutkimus on keskeistä tutkimustoimintaamme.

Koulutettavina ja tukijoina on ensisijaisesti lääketieteen opiskelijoita, nuoria lääkäreitä, sairaanhoitajia ja psykologeja. Panostamme henkilökohtaiseen face to face opetukseen. Opetukseen kuuluu myös klansainvälinen yhteistyö. Epidemiologiset menetelmät ja biostattistiikka ovat keskeisenä osana tutkimustyötämme ja harjoittelua.
