Matti Mikkola

Currently, Matti Mikkola serves as Professor of Labour Law at the University of Helsinki. He also has experience in law drafting, research and consulting.

- Assistant and young researcher at the Academy of Finland 1970 - 1980;

- Special researcer at The National Research Institute of Legal Policy 1980 - 1981;

- Legislative counsellor of the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in 1980-1994;

- Member of the Charte – Rel Committee, Photo Service, Council of Europe revising the European Social Charter (1992-1994);

- Member of the European Committee of Social Rights (1995-2006) and chairman of the Committee (1999-2000);

- Legal adviser and consultant for Ministries of Social affairs and Labour in Estonia, Bulgaria and Ukraine in 1993-1998;

- Member of the Task Force of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation (until 2004 the Ministry of Labour and Social Development) since 2001.
