Tutkimuskohteet

My research is at the intersection of data management and machine learning (ML), including: optimization of ML pipelines (KBS2024, MAKE2022), ML model management and materialization (ICDE2021, EDBT2022), instance-optimal indexing (EDBT2024, AIDB@VLDB2022), graph processing (WSDM2023, VLDB2022), data summarization and model sketching (SDM2023, ICDE2022, CIKM2022, WWW2021, PODS2021). I'm also interested in developing computational techniques for other domains (DSA2025, WWW2022).

Before Helsinki, I taught at INSA Lyon for one semester (2017) and spent four years (2013-2017) as a postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University. I completed my doctoral studies at the University of Toronto (2013) and my diploma in engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (2006).

Distinguished reviewer award for SIGMOD 2024 and PVLDB vol. 16 (VLDB 2023); best paper award at the Web Conference (WWW) 2022; best paper award at the Discovery Science conference, 2020; best student paper award at the Web Search and Data Mining (WSDM) Conference, 2017; best student paper award at the Web Science (WebSci) Conference, 2017.
