Tutkimuksen ja opetuksen kuvaus

Ms Tiina Korhonen (PhD, Title of Docent) is the Senior University Lecturer (Learning Environments and Technology) and head of Innokas Network www.innokas.fi, coordinating nationwide Innovation Education activities for over 750 schools in Finland. She is leading the Learning and Teaching in Digital Environments www.helsinki.fi/digierko (DigiErko) post-graduate specialization studies program in University of Helsinki. Dr. Korhonen’s earlier experience includes professional teacher tenures in several Finnish elementary schools, with seven years as Vice headmaster in a school focusing on Innovation Education. During her tenures, she has designed and implemented several professional development programs for teachers, managed a learning center focusing on Innovation education. 

Dr. Korhonen’s professional interests lie in the wide landscape of 21st century learning and development of innovative educational practice in the context of the digital society, with special focus on the practical opportunities available through digital tools and processes, including digital learning environments, AI, VR, computational thinking, and robotics. Through her national and international collaborative networks she develops and shares innovative school practices in learning, professional teaching and in school leadership and school partnerships.
