Kuvaus (abstrakti)

Nature based solutions is a Nordic project with general goal to further develop and strengthen the knowledge base and collaboration on nature-based solutions and green infrastructure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and preserve biological diversity as well as contribute to climate adaptation. WP5 'Conservation and sustainable use of genetic resources in the Nordic countries' deals with crop wild relative conservation. The aims of WP5 are:
- to contribute to a more resilient Nordic agriculture by conserving the genetic resources needed to adapt agricultural plants to climate change and other anticipated future needs ​
- to strengthen Nordic countries' work on the conservation and sustainable use of Nordic Crop Wild Relatives ​
- to find Nordic synergy in the field of crop wild relative conservation and sustainable use, and to facilitate Nordic cooperation on this topic
