Kuvaus (abstrakti)
The core idea of this research interest is to diminish redundant and overlapping work when the morphological grammars of related language varieties are described for humans and computers. There seems to be much room for rationalization:
(1) Writing two descriptions with very different structure is time-consuming.
(2) Writing a description for a language is an error-prone task that should be helped by automatic grammar verification.
(3) Grammars of related varieties have similarities that should be exploited.
The research interest explores new less redundant ways to write grammars.
