Support Tool for Sustainable Environment Management in Tropical Rural Communities (STEM)

This project target is to specifically create and enforce Indonesian public and 3rd sectors’ capacity by enabling them to resist more effectively the destruction and degradation of tropical peatland resources, help cooperating parties to understand and thus promote wise and sustainable use of the peat resource. This capacity will be created by cooperative actions within local (UNPAR) higher education system by providing expertise, courses, technical and immaterial support on project participating students, public sector officials, and local communities.
