The Interpreter's Gender Performance in Healthcare Interpreting

This project is an article-based doctoral dissertation conducted within the Doctoral Programme in Language Studies at the University of Helsinki. The general aim of the project is to identify how and in which contexts interpreters perform gender in healthcare settings, as well as the impact it has on communication.
