Fracture of tibial tuberosity is a fairly common injury in growing dogs. Coincidental fracture of the tibial tuberosity and the proximal epiphysis has been described as a less common traumatic injury. It is often seen in small terriers. These fractures occur typically in dogs between 4–6 months of age and they are usually treated surgically. Early diagnosis and surgical repair of the fracture are important, since the epiphyseal fracture can predispose to an angular limb deformity. In this case report, we describe Salter-Harris type 2 physeal fracture of tibial tuberosity and proximal epiphysis in two dogs. Both were 2-week-old fractures with angular limb deformity and were corrected with stabilization of the fractures and correction of the deformity using two different corrective osteotomies. In case one the deformity was corrected with cranial tibial closing wedge osteotomy (CTWO). In case two we used a CBLO technique (center of rotation of angulation-based levelling osteotomy) to correct the deformity. Good clinical outcome was achieved in both cases.
