Examining the rock art of the Pak Ou caves in Luang Prabang Province
contributes to the archaeological knowledge of Lao People’s Democratic Republic
(Lao PDR, henceforth referred to as Laos).1 This article focuses on the curious case of a green-colored “steamship” rock painting that offers unique insights into the history and archaeology of the region.
