Abstrakti

(From the introduction:) Following the 1967 war and the destruction of the Mughrabi quarter, the Western Wall was informally split into two sections separated by the Mughrabi Bridge.
To the north, the Western Wall Plaza, defined as sacred and used for prayer, was placed under the auspices of the Ministry for Religious Affairs. The area to the south of the Mughrabi Bridge was not legally defined as a separate area, but in practice became an archaeological excavation site...
