175th Anniversary Symposium organized by the Finnish Society of Sciences and Letters, Section for Social Sciences on November 4th 2013 at 13.00-18.15 in the House of the Estates, Helsinki, Finland. The aim of the symposium is to discuss the Challenges of Europe using approaches of the Social Sciences. Which are the possibilities and threats for the future of Europe? What does citizenship mean in Europe Today? How serious is corruption? How will the juridical system of Europe develop in the future? These and some other issues will be discussed during the seminar, starting from the general and moving to more particular questions. There will be possibilities for discussions after the talks and during the breaks. Both experienced and young scientists with cross-disciplinary interests are invited to attend. This seminar is open for the general public , i.e. to persons genuinely interested and knowledgeable in the area, e.g. decision-makers. There will be no registration fee. Scientists who wish to participate in the Symposium are asked to fill in the Registration form attached, as there are a limited number of seats available in the lecture hall. John Sumelius
