Information om forskning och undervisning

Dr Anna Ripatti (she/her), art and architectural historian, is a research fellow at the University of Helsinki.

Her research interests include the history of architecture, visual culture, architectural restoration, cultural history and art historiography in the long nineteenth century and beyond, in Nordic countries and France. She has published several monographs, edited volumes and peer-reviewed articles in journals such as The Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians and The Journal of Architecture.

Her current research project examines architectural standardization and the formation of class and gender through architecture in mid-nineteenth-century France. She is also the PI of the research project The Political Agency of Architecture in Revolutionary Europe 1830–1930, funded by Emil Aaltonen Foundation.

Dr Ripatti has taught courses on architectural history, cultural heritage and methodological approaches to art history. She has worked as a visiting fellow at several research institutions in Finland and abroad, most recently at the Institut national d’histoire de l’art in Paris.
