OVERVIEW
My main field of research is Greek and Latin Epigraphy, specializing in the Roman and Byzantine periods, editing, translating, commenting and building up comprehensive collections (corpora) of inscriptions. I have worked and published material from Greece (Attica, Corinth, North-Western Greece), now working on projects all over Greece, furthermore on Cyprus and in Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia.
My second field of research is Humanist Greek and Neo-Latin literature of the 16th and 17th century, editing and commenting on texts composed in Greek and Latin by Finnish, Swedish, and Polish humanists and poets. Cooperation with a Finnish colleague (Dr. Tua Korhonen, University of Helsinki) and an Esthonian colleague (Dr. Janika Päll, University of Tartto); my own on-going project regards unpublished manuscripts consisting of two Greek metric orations kept at the University Library of Uppsala, Sweden.
