Frederik Forrai Ørskov is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Nordic Studies, where he also did his doctoral studies as part of the ReNEW (Reimagining Norden in an Evolving World) PhD-programme. His current project project explores the conceptualization of the principle of Nordic added value across the work of the Nordic Council and the Nordic Council of Ministers, and the latter’s subsidiary institutions. He has written a monograph-length dissertation on the German-Nordic Writers' House, an institution for German-Nordic cultural exchange in National Socialist Germany. He is trained as a historian from the University of Southern Denmark and the Central European University, where his MA-thesis dealt with Danish tourist promotional efforts in National Socialist Germany. He has published articles and book chapters on the history of cultural diplomacy, educational testing, the OECD, visual history, and transnational social political dialogues, among other subjects. He has completed the Europaeum Scholars Programme.
