I am a Biostatistician at the Medical Faculty's Biostatistics Consulting Service, supporting researchers across the campus with statistical quandries from planning through implementation to write-up and review. My background, however, is in ecology & evolutionary biology, where I hold a docentship. From my PhD at the University of Edinburgh through postdocs in the UK and Finland to a PI grant at the University of Helsinki, I studied how individual variability in response to external stressos, especially parasite infections and changing environments, affects life history choices and hence demography.
