Information om forskning och undervisning

In my PhD dissertation, I study the politics and governance of cross-border capital flows and their management. More specifically, I explain why since the North Atlantic financial crisis of 2007-2009, the rules and guidelines of the IMF and OECD have become more approving of capital controls. In my research I am particularly interested in the institutions and politics of money, finance, and investment, monetary and financial policy & governance, and economic democracy. Before my PhD, I received an MA degree in Global Political Economy from the University of Helsinki and MA and BA degrees in Political History from the University of Turku. In the academic year 2024–2025, I was a visiting Fulbright scholar at Georgetown University's Global Political Economy project.
