Information om forskning och undervisning

My research has two main intertwining tracks: 1) Media business models in Finland and other countries and intersections between media policy, media business, and development of journalism 2) Contemporary Russian media system and media policy. 

I have worked in two universities in Finland, including the work at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Tampere (various posts 1999-2008), Aleksanteri Institute (a multidisciplinary Centre for Russian and East European Studies at the University of Helsinki, 2006-2018, including work at the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Russian Studies, 2011-2018), Media and Communication Studies at the University of Helsinki (2010, 2016, 2018-), and Swedish School of Social Science (2016-2018).
