Information om forskning och undervisning

I use genetic and genomic data to study species delimitation, phylogenetics, and evolutionary history, primarily focusing on Lepidoptera and Hymenoptera as model organisms. My research integrates museomics, applying advanced genomic techniques to Type specimens, and other valuable materials, including those that are extinct, rare, or remote, to objectively delineate species and uncover true biodiversity.

I am particularly interested in understanding population and species level relationships. This includes exploring diversity patterns at genomic scale, conducting machine learning-based species delimitation approaches using Types, revealing hybridisation and gene flows between closely related taxa, and identifying genetic patterns of adaptation to different environments.

I teach courses in Biological collections, Molecular methods, Molecular phylogenetics, and Biological laboratory.
