I am a doctoral researcher and ECAR resident at the University of Helsinki, currently working on the variations of blood flow in the female genital tract of cattle throughout the estrous cycle. My work leverages Doppler ultrasonography to explore how changes in blood flow in the ovaries and uterus during different stages of the estrous cycle can be used to optimize breeding strategies. By better staging the estrous cycle, I aim to improve the timing and efficiency of artificial insemination (AI) and other breeding practices in cattle, ultimately enhancing reproductive outcomes and resource allocation in cattle breeding.

Through my research, I seek to develop more precise methods for monitoring reproductive health and fertility, with an emphasis on improving the overall productivity and sustainability of livestock operations. This work holds significant potential for advancing our understanding of bovine reproductive physiology, with direct implications for veterinary practices and large-scale agricultural operations.
