Information om forskning och undervisning

I work as a Chief Specialist at the Urban Research and Statistics Unit, City of Helsinki. (Formerly, I worked as a University Lecturer in Social Psychology, University of Helsinki). My research mostly focuses on ethnic relations and immigrant integration, but recently, I have also studied intergroup relations between groups with different worldviews. My PhD thesis examined intergroup contact and prejudice among adolescents, and since then, I have specialized in intergroup relations between the Finnish national majority and the Russian-speaking minority, as well as inter-minority relations in Finland. Currently, I am also a supervisor in two PhD projects in social psychology, as part of our ESSO research group.

Forskningsintressen

Ethnic intergroup relations and immigrant integration - more specifically, questions related to national and ethnic identities, multiculturalism, perceived discrimination, intergroup contact, and acculturation.
