Assessment of the role of Science and Technology in the UNCCD Operations

VITRI was given an assignment to assess the role of science and technology in the UNCCD operations before and after the UNCCD COP9 conference in Argentina in 2007. Four VITRI senior experts assessed and prepared a 50 page report on reforming of the UNCCD and on how to improve the incorporation of science and technology in the UNCCD implementation. Financier was Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland/Global Policy Dept., International Environmental Policy Unit. The report was distributed by the MFA to relevant ministries in Finland and all EU member states.
