Beskrivning (abstrakt)
Will the soils of the boreal and temperate forests enhance climate change by releasing additional carbon dioxide to the atmosphere or will they retard climate change by sequestering atmospheric carbon?
This research project aims at answering that question. The project runs for four years, from 2005 to 2008, and it is coordinated by the Research Programme for Global Change of the Finnish Environment Institute. The project is funded by the Academy of Finland.
