Deleuzian Music Research

This project develops new perspectives and methodologies for the study of musicking – music and sound understood as practices of making, performing, listening and experiencing – through elaborations of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari’s philosophy. The uniqueness of the project lies in its firm grounding in both music and Deleuzian studies. By working from the relationships between these fields, the project aims at introducing and transforming or deterritorializing (deterritorialiser) Deleuzian concepts for the audiences of music research
