Digitalia - Utilizing digital information

Digitalia aims at improving the availability and usability of digital information. The project links various stakeholders to advance digital information management, research and use of digital resources. In collaboration with these stakeholders, Digitalia develops tools, methods and services needed. They will be implemented in production and local business. Together with firms and communities, new concepts for re-using information will be developed. Data mining from the information resources of the National Library of Finland establishes content themes, which supports firms and communities in producing more interesting and attractive content, while also presenting firms as a part of a larger historical perspective. Knowledge management supports firms in developing better targeted products and services and forecast changes in the operating environment.

The project partners are South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences, Xamk (leading partner) and The National Library of Finland.
